The 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano (iSaloni) kicked off yesterday, April 8, and runs until next Sunday (April 13). In this major global showcase for design and furniture, visitors from around the world can explore the Espaço BRASIL (BRAZIL Space): a 970 m² area in Pavilion 3 at Rho Fiera, bringing together the very best of contemporary Brazilian furniture and design.
Promoted by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), through the Brazilian Furniture Project, the space features creations of a variety companies and designers from the country.
The set design, carried out by the Estojo studio, focuses on the interplay between minimalist lines and organic elements, highlighting Brazil’s diverse materials and its commitment to low-impact production processes. To illustrate this concept, the Espaço BRASIL includes a tree at its center, symbolizing the role of biodiversity in the country’s creative inspiration and industrial power.
In the showcased products, this vision is reflected in the use of distinctive raw materials, such as Brazilian woods known for their strength, rich grain, and warmth, as well as fibers extracted from tree leaves, rocks, and sculpted minerals that unveil unique textures. There are also traditional weaves that have been rethought or reinvented, along with organic fabrics or sustainably produced leather. These attributes demonstrate how Brazil’s design sector brings together nature and technology, in keeping with the “Thought for Humans” theme of iSaloni 2025, which emphasizes human experience, inclusion, multifunctional spaces, and the use of renewable resources.

Brazilian Furniture Project
The Brazilian Furniture Project is an initiative of ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil, aiming to increase the presence of the Brazilian furniture and wood supply chain in the international market through a set of strategic actions based on sustainability, competitiveness, and design integration with industry. Currently, around 175 companies are part of the project.
In 2024, Brazil’s furniture and mattress industry was the sixth-largest producer and the 26th-largest exporter in the world, with revenues surpassing US$763.02 million from exports of finished products (excluding parts and components), representing a 3.8% growth compared to 2023. When including parts for furniture production, the figure reached US$870.20 million.
In a new cycle (2025–2026), the organizing entities invite not only furniture manufacturers and designers but also companies in the components and industry supplier sectors to join the project, further expanding the reach of Brazilian furniture and enhancing the competitiveness of the “Brazil” brand worldwide.
