STARTS TODAY: Brazilian Furniture Hosts International Business Matchmaking at Movelsul Brasil’s 25th Edition

Organized by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil, the initiative will connect 70 Brazilian companies with 25 importers from 16 countries at the trade show opening today in Bento Gonçalves. The association will also present a special exhibition featuring pieces by Brazilian brands.

The 25th edition of Movelsul Brasil reinforces Bento Gonçalves, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, as one of Brazil’s leading furniture industry hubs. Held from August 17–20, 2026, at the city’s Exhibition Center, the trade show will bring together Brazilian brands specializing in furniture, upholstered products, mattresses, home décor, and services. Its business-focused agenda is designed for independent retailers, major retail chains, architects, designers, specifiers, importers, and contract buyers.

Once again, the program will feature a major international trade promotion initiative: the Buyer Project, organized by Brazilian Furniture—a sector project carried out by ABIMÓVEL, the Brazilian Association of Furniture Manufacturers, in partnership with ApexBrasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency.

Throughout the trade show, the initiative will host business matchmaking sessions connecting 70 Brazilian companies with 25 pre-qualified international buyers from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Guatemala, Mexico, Morocco, Paraguay, Peru, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay.

The Buyer Project is part of the internationalization strategy led by Brazilian Furniture to enhance the competitiveness, visibility, and global presence of Brazil’s furniture industry. By connecting Brazilian manufacturers with qualified importers, the initiative helps turn participation in industry trade shows into an effective platform for relationship-building, market prospecting, and business development.

The exhibition will present a diverse cross-section of furniture production from across the country, highlighting the Brazilian industry’s ability to transform creative vision into competitive, market-ready products.

Movelsul 2026 at a Glance

The 2025 edition of Movelsul Brasil welcomed visitors from more than 40 countries, further establishing the event as a leading B2B showcase for Brazilian furniture.

Organized since 1977 by the Furniture Industries Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), Movelsul Brasil will bring together more than 200 Brazilian brands across five exhibition halls this year. The event will showcase new products and solutions in mass-produced and custom furniture, upholstered furniture, mattresses, home décor, office and contract furniture, and industry services. Its portfolio serves a wide range of professional audiences, from independent stores to major retail chains and from specifiers to international importers.

The program also includes initiatives dedicated to retail, design, and architecture, such as Movelsul Conecta, the Varejo 360° stage, the International Lounge, and dedicated spaces for networking, industry content, and business development. Together, these initiatives reinforce Movelsul’s role as a platform for market insights, commercial connections, and greater integration across the furniture value chain.
