One Week to Go: Brazil Showcases its Furniture Supply Chain at Fitecma 2025 in Argentina

First major initiative of the new vertical of the Brazilian Furniture Project highlights the integration of the national production chain and reinforces the sector’s positioning strategy in the Latin American market

The Brazilian furniture supply chain is gearing up for another major international event. From June 10 to 14, 2025, Brazil will be represented at Fitecma 2025, held in Buenos Aires—the leading trade show for the wood and technology industry in Argentina and one of the most important in South America. The Brazilian delegation is coordinated by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), through the Brazilian Furniture Project.

The initiative marks the launch of the new vertical of the project focused on the internationalization of components, machinery, and suppliers, reinforcing a comprehensive and strategic approach to Brazil’s production chain. Ten Brazilian companies will be exhibiting at an exclusive booth — C70, in the “Brazil Area” — while five other brands will also take part in the official Brazilian Furniture agenda in the Argentine capital.

According to Irineu Munhoz, President of ABIMÓVEL, Brazil’s presence at Fitecma through the new vertical of the Brazilian Furniture project represents another strategic step in positioning the country as a provider of integrated solutions — combining diversity, production capacity, innovation, and technology across all stages of the furniture manufacturing process.

“Participating in this fair aligns with our goal of showcasing to our neighbors — and to the world — a Brazil that is building a more integrated and responsive supply chain for global markets. We are highlighting a production ecosystem that connects raw materials, components, machinery, technology, and design with advanced furniture manufacturing. This approach demonstrates our ability to deliver end-to-end solutions — not just final products, but the entire ecosystem that supports development and innovation in the sector. This systemic vision is what allows us to expand our global footprint with consistency, foster sustainable business relationships, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the Brazilian economy,” Munhoz explains.

Fitecma: A Strategic Business Platform

Held every two years, Fitecma is renowned for bringing together key players in the wood and furniture supply chain across Latin America. In addition to machinery, equipment, and cutting-edge technologies, the trade show features solutions in bioenergy, timber construction, industrial software, institutional services, and turnkey plant engineering.

The event also boasts a highly qualified audience: more than 90% of visitors at the last edition had decision-making authority in their companies, including 72% who were owners or directors, and another 18% who were managers or technical supervisors. Key sectors represented include furniture manufacturers, carpenters, architects, engineers, designers, distributors, resellers, suppliers, and procurement professionals.

Brazil’s participation in Fitecma aims not only to expand trade with the Argentine market but also to foster new business opportunities and strengthen ties with qualified players from other MERCOSUR countries and across Latin America.

Brazilian Furniture Project

The Brazilian Furniture Project is a sectoral initiative by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil. Its goal is to expand the international presence of Brazil’s furniture industry through a strategic set of actions grounded in sustainability, competitiveness, and design integration. Currently, around 175 companies are engaged in the project.

In 2024, Brazil ranked as the sixth-largest furniture and mattress producer in the world and the 26th largest exporter, generating over US$ 763.02 million in revenue from finished products — a 3.8% increase compared to 2023. Including parts for furniture manufacturing, the total reached US$ 870.20 million.

In this new cycle (2025–2026), the organizers invite not only furniture manufacturers and designers, but also suppliers and component producers to join the project, further amplifying the reach of Brazilian furniture and reinforcing the global competitiveness of the “Brazil” brand.
