In its most recent edition, which took place between July 13 and 15, 2021, the ONLINE INSPIRAMAIS BUYER PROJECT achieved once again excellent results. During the three days of the event, 460 business roundtables were held between 53 Brazilian companies and 30 international buyers, resulting in approximately US$ 860 thousand in immediate business and more than US$ 5.2 million in prospected values for the next 12 months. Thus totaling around R$ 32 million to be transacted from the event, bearing in mind the current exchange rate for the US currency.
Organized by ABIMÓVEL – The Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association and Apex-Brasil – The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, the INSPIRAMAIS BUYER PROJECT is carried out in partnership with ASSINTECAL – Brazilian Association of Leather, Footwear and Goods Components Companies; ABIT – Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association; and CICB – The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry.
Taking place digitally, the event once again facilitated the connection between international markets, making it possible to do business and solidify partnerships between Brazilian companies and buyers from 16 different countries. They are: South Africa, Canada, Chile, Colombia, United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Spain, United States, Jordan, Morocco, Mexico, Mozambique, Peru, Sint Maarten, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay.
Around 80% of the meetings happened between new business contacts. Proving the BUYERS PROJECT vocation to expand networking and business options throughout the wood and furniture production chain around the world. The post-event survey also reveals almost 100% satisfaction on the part of members with the organization and structure promoted by the Brazilian Furniture Project organizers. Some of the outstanding characteristics of the sectoral project, by the way, are the construction of strategic alliances, the expansion of buying markets and the interaction/synergy with customers from all fields and furniture brands.
For this edition of the INSPIRAMAIS ONLINE BUYER PROJECT, we have the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Network of SECOMs – Trade Promotion Sectors in South Africa, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Jordan and Peru.
Brazilian furniture around the world
Speaking of Brazilian Furniture, dozens of Brazilian companies and designers linked to the project will head to Italy at the beginning of September, to participate in the first large face-to-face event in the furniture sector to reopen its doors to the public. The Brazilian furniture will be represented by 10 important national brands in the “supersalone” — a special edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano in 2021, which takes place between September 5th and 10th.
And there’s more: the project will also hold an exclusive event on Fuorisalone at the traditional INTERNI exhibition at the Università Degli Studi di Milano: “Brasil Design in Movement”, another Apex-Brasil initiative with ABIMÓVEL’s participation through the Brazilian Furniture Project. Thus, bringing about 15 Brazilian companies and designers to one of the most visited activities in the Milanese and world design calendar. The curatorship is carried out by the architect and designer José Roberto Moreira do Valle.
Several pieces from the Brazilian brands and designers that are exhibiting in Milan will later be displayed in Israel, during the Casa Brasil 2021 Exhibition, which takes place in Tel Aviv, between September 22nd and 26th. Another Apex-Brasil initiative in partnership with the Brazilian Embassy in Israel, involving a variety of productive sectors.
