Buyer Project drives US$ 52.5 million in international business for Brazilian Companies

Business rounds connected Brazilian companies with buyers from 11 countries

Strategically integrated into the program of the 12th National Furniture Congress, the Buyer Project, promoted by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), reinforced the event’s purpose of connecting companies and generating business opportunities.

Held on October 1–2, 2025, at the FIEP Industry Campus in Curitiba (PR), the initiative was part of the Brazilian Furniture Project, bringing together 57 Brazilian companies and 20 international buyers from 11 countriesArgentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and Mozambique. The goal: to expand markets, strengthen commercial relations, and create new opportunities for the Brazilian furniture industry.

Over two days of intense activity, 592 business meetings were held, resulting in 546 commercial contacts, around 85% of which were new connections for the participating companies. The total business volume reached US$ 52.57 million, including immediate contracts and projected deals for the next 12 months.

For Irineu Munhoz, president of ABIMÓVEL, the results reflect a consistent movement of openness and integration between the Brazilian industry and the global market: “The Buyer Project is a direct bridge between producers and buyers. It’s where the design, innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness of the Brazilian furniture industry translate into concrete partnerships, strengthening our international presence and expanding opportunities for the entire production chain.”

In addition to the business rounds, international buyers participated in the broader Congress program, which included the exhibition of finalists and the announcement of winners of the National Furniture Design Award, the Casa Conceito showcase, and several lectures and thematic panels featuring leading figures from the Brazilian market. These activities highlighted Brazil’s position as a reference in a sector that blends productive capacity, quality, creativity, and strategic vision.

Surpassing the previous edition’s results, the Buyer Project reaffirms its relevance as a key instrument for internationalization and business generation, further strengthening the global positioning of Brazilian furniture.

Brazilian Furniture Project

The Brazilian Furniture Project is a joint initiative by ABIMÓVEL and ApexBrasil to expand the international presence of the Brazilian furniture industry through strategic actions focused on sustainability, competitiveness, innovation, and global positioning. Currently, around 175 companies take part in the project.

In its 2025–2026 cycle, the project operates through two complementary verticals. The first focuses on finished furniture, bringing together manufacturers and designers that represent the originality, quality, and identity of Brazilian furniture. The second focuses on industry suppliers, including companies producing components, machinery, inputs, and technologies, positioning Brazil as a comprehensive solutions partner for the global furniture industry — from raw materials to the finished product.

This integrated approach broadens the sector’s global reach, diversifies markets, and strengthens the Brazil brand as a competitive player in the international arena. Companies interested in joining the project can visit brazilianfurniture.org.br.
