Initiative promoted through the Brazilian Furniture Project connects Brazilian companies with international buyers from key markets for the furniture industry
With a strong focus on the internationalization of Brazil’s furniture sector, the Buyer Project will be one of the highlights of the 12th National Furniture Congress, taking place October 1–2, 2025, at the FIEP Industry Campus in Curitiba, Paraná, under the theme “Connecting Companies, Generating Business.”
The initiative, led by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), is part of the Brazilian Furniture Project. In this edition, the action connects 57 Brazilian manufacturers with 20 qualified international buyers from 11 countries: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and Mozambique. The program thus fosters trade relations and opens new paths for furniture exports to different regions of the world.

“The business rounds promoted by the Buyer Project provide a strategic platform for national companies to showcase their products and unique strengths directly to decision-makers in key target markets, positioning them within an increasingly competitive global ecosystem. The format encourages direct contact and efficient negotiations, addressing this year’s Congress theme with precision: ‘Connecting Companies, Generating Business,’” said Irineu Munhoz, president of ABIMÓVEL and vice president of FIEP.
In 2024, the Buyer Project held during the 11th National Furniture Congress generated 450 business rounds and more than US$ 28 million in closed and prospective deals during the event.
Beyond the business rounds, invited buyers will also have the chance to experience Brazil’s industrial and creative landscape through access to the Congress program. Highlights include the exhibition of finalists from the National Furniture Design Award, the Casa Conceito showcase, and a rich agenda of lectures, panels, and immersive experiences that reinforce the Brazilian industry’s international strengths in original design, sustainability, innovation, and responsible production.

Brazilian Furniture Project
The Brazilian Furniture Project is a joint initiative by ABIMÓVEL and ApexBrasil to expand the international presence of the Brazilian furniture industry through strategic actions focused on sustainability, competitiveness, innovation, and global positioning. Currently, around 175 companies take part in the project.
In its 2025–2026 cycle, the project operates through two complementary verticals. The first focuses on finished furniture, bringing together manufacturers and designers that represent the originality, quality, and identity of Brazilian furniture. The second focuses on industry suppliers, including companies producing components, machinery, inputs, and technologies, positioning Brazil as a comprehensive solutions partner for the global furniture industry — from raw materials to the finished product.
This integrated approach broadens the sector’s global reach, diversifies markets, and strengthens the Brazil brand as a competitive player in the international arena. Companies interested in joining the project can visit brazilianfurniture.org.br.
