Brazilian Furniture to Host International Business Matchmaking Sessions at the 25th Movelsul Brasil

Organized by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil, the initiative will connect Brazilian companies with pre-selected importers during the August trade show in the state of Rio Grande do Sul; the association will also present a special furniture exhibition featuring pieces by national brands

Movelsul Brasil returns for its 25th edition, reinforcing Bento Gonçalves, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, as one of Brazil’s key business hubs for the furniture industry. Held from August 17 to 20, 2026, at the city’s Parque de Eventos, the trade show will bring together Brazilian brands across furniture, upholstery, mattresses, décor, and services, with a program designed for retailers, retail chains, architects, interior designers, specifiers, importers, and corporate buyers.

Once again, the event will also feature an important international trade promotion initiative: the Buyer Project, carried out by Brazilian Furniture — the sector project led by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association), in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). During the trade show, the initiative will organize business matchmaking sessions connecting Brazilian manufacturers with pre-selected international buyers, with a focus on generating commercial opportunities and strengthening the presence of Brazilian furniture in strategic markets.

The initiative is part of Brazilian Furniture’s broader internationalization agenda, which works to expand the competitiveness, visibility, and global reach of Brazil’s furniture industry. By bringing national manufacturers closer to qualified importers, the Buyer Project helps transform participation in sector trade shows into an effective platform for networking, prospecting, and business development.

Brazilian Design on Display

In addition to the international matchmaking sessions, Movelsul 2026 will feature a Furniture Exhibition organized by ABIMÓVEL, bringing together pieces from dozens of companies. The exhibition will offer professional visitors a broad and diverse snapshot of Brazil’s furniture production — from north to south — highlighting the industry’s ability to translate creative identity into competitive products.

Movelsul 2026 Overview

In its previous edition, held in 2025, Movelsul Brasil welcomed visitors from more than 40 countries, consolidating its position as a B2B showcase for Brazilian furniture.

Organized since 1977 by the Bento Gonçalves Furniture Industry Union, known as Sindmóveis, Movelsul Brasil will bring together more than 200 national brands across five exhibition pavilions this year. The trade show will present new launches and solutions in ready-made and custom furniture, upholstery, mattresses, décor, corporate furniture, and services, serving a wide range of professional audiences — from small retailers to major retail chains, and from specifiers to importers.

The program will also include initiatives focused on retail, design, and architecture, including Movelsul Conecta, the Retail 360° stage, the International Lounge, and dedicated spaces for networking, content, and relationship-building. Together, these initiatives reinforce Movelsul as a platform for market updates, business connections, and the strengthening of the furniture production chain.
