Brazilian Furniture in New York 2021: feedback and results

One of the main events in North America when it comes to contemporary furniture, ICFF – The International Contemporary Furniture Fair took place in person last November, in New York (USA). The event attracted the attention of retailers, architects, specifiers, journalists and trendsetters from target markets of the Brazilian Furniture Project, bringing considerable results to Brazilian companies participating in the project’s scheduled programming there.

Organized by ABIMÓVEL – The Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association and Apex-Brasil – The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, the Brazilian Furniture Project leads the participation and integration of Brazilian industry and design in major events around the world. In November, the project took two Brazilian brands to the ICFF and brought together another 20 on a Trade Mission, which also included an exclusive and 100% Brazilian exhibition in one of the most vibrant design districts in New York.

In all, more than US$ 10.7 million were transacted between immediate and prospected deals for the next 12 months, from 775 meetings with qualified international buyers, with more than 85% of them being new contacts for Brazilian furniture companies. Significant numbers, which already point to the realization of even greater activities in the city next year.
