The project expands its reach with new Niches, markets, and actions in the 2025–2026 cycle
Aiming to broaden the global presence of Brazilian furniture and strengthen the international competitiveness of the country’s industry, ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) are taking another strategic step in growing the Brazilian Furniture Project. Entering a new cycle in 2025 with even more initiatives and target markets, the project now extends its invitation not only to furniture manufacturers and designers but also to the components and supplier industries, thereby strengthening Brazil’s position worldwide and opening new business opportunities across the entire furniture chain.
The goal is to demonstrate to the world a fully integrated production chain—running from north to south—capable of innovating and offering comprehensive solutions. These attributes are increasingly valued in the global market, adding significant worth to the Brazilian industry and its products.
In its previous 2023–2024 cycle, the project saw significant achievements, reaching US$ 367 million in closed and prospective deals and conducting over 4,100 international business meetings. Participant companies achieved an +8.2% growth in international positioning, surpassing the national industry average of +3.2% and defying the global downward trend of -3.73%.
For Irineu Munhoz, President of ABIMÓVEL, this sustained progress is directly linked to bringing together multiple links in the furniture chain:
“It is critical for furniture manufacturers, components industries, and other suppliers to work together toward common goals: expanding business, forging lasting partnerships, and elevating the standing of Brazilian-made furniture both at home and abroad. The Brazilian Furniture project offers a strategic platform to showcase Brazil’s manufacturing potential, competitiveness, sustainability, innovation, and signature design on the world stage, further strengthening our presence and reputation in top global markets.”
Major Events and New Markets
The 2025–2026 Brazilian Furniture calendar presents numerous opportunities for those looking to establish an international presence. The schedule covers a range of activities in several countries, including international fairs, trade missions, business rounds, design and image programs, sustainability initiatives, and market intelligence. This approach ensures continued visibility for Brazilian brands and designers in well-established markets while also venturing into new strategic destinations. Highlights of this cycle include:
