A total of 48 Brazilian furniture manufacturers are taking part, through the Brazilian Furniture Sector Project, in an agenda focused on strengthening commercial ties, opening new markets, and building long-term relationships across Latin America.
The first stage of the 2026 Latin America Trade Mission, organized by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), took place in Medellín from September 10 to 12, during La Feria de Diseño. The program combined a product exhibition — featuring 19 Brazilian pieces showcased at Espaço Brasil — with business matchmaking sessions involving 25 international buyers from nine markets.
From Medellín, the mission now continues on to Panama City. On September 15 and 16, a new series of business meetings will carry the agenda forward, expanding connections between the Brazilian furniture industry and potential partners across a region considered strategic both for Central America and the Caribbean and as a logistics hub offering access to other international markets.
Beyond presenting their portfolios, the meetings provide companies with opportunities to better understand market demands, assess potential business strategies, and identify opportunities for new partnerships and distribution channels.
At each destination, the mission shares the same purpose: to showcase the diversity, originality, and production capabilities of Brazil’s furniture industry and design sector, understand the needs of each market, and turn initial connections into lasting business relationships.
