The exhibition brings together 20 Brazilian manufacturers and 22 designers, connecting creativity, innovation, business opportunities and the potential of Brazilian furniture at home and abroad
Alongside the international buyer meetings taking place during ForMóbile 2026—which connect furniture manufacturers and Brazilian suppliers of components and technologies with strategic buyers from around the world—ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association) will present the Design + Industry Exhibition. The initiative highlights design as a key driver of innovation, differentiation and competitiveness across Brazil’s furniture industry.
Organized in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) through the Brazilian Furniture Project, the exhibition brings together approximately 20 manufacturers and 22 designers and design studios participating in the program. It presents the results of a collaborative process designed to foster creativity, originality and the development of products with the potential to compete in global markets.
By bringing designers, creative studios and manufacturers together, the initiative turns knowledge, creative expertise and production capabilities into solutions that create value for companies, strengthen the identity of Brazilian furniture and improve its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
Built around the theme “Connections,” the exhibition features pieces that have already appeared at some of the world’s most influential design and contemporary furniture events. Following presentations at Salone del Mobile.Milano in Italy; ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) in New York (U.S.); and Brasília Design Week (Brazil), the collection now arrives at ForMóbile, expanding its reach among manufacturers, specifiers, retailers, architects and buyers from Brazil and abroad.
More than an exhibition, Design + Industry shows how collaboration between designers and companies can lead to innovation, support the development of new collections and help Brazilian brands compete more effectively. The program gives manufacturers an opportunity to incorporate new perspectives and strategically explore materials, technologies and production processes. At the same time, it provides designers with a real-world environment in which concepts can be translated into viable, scalable products aligned with market needs.
By presenting tangible outcomes from these partnerships, the exhibition reinforces a central message for the industry: innovation begins with connection. Connection between creativity and production, heritage and the future, local identity and international reach. It is within these intersections that products emerge with the ability to convey Brazil’s diversity, creativity and industrial expertise to the world.
The Design + Industry Exhibition will be open on the mezzanine level of São Paulo Expo from June 30 through July 3, 2026, during ForMóbile, one of Latin America’s leading furniture industry trade shows. As part of the event’s official program, the exhibition will provide greater visibility for the products and projects developed through the initiative, while giving visitors an opportunity to experience solutions that reflect the strength of collaboration between design and manufacturing—as well as the creative, productive and innovative potential of Brazilian furniture.
At the same time, ABIMÓVEL and ApexBrasil will host an International Buyer Program through the Brazilian Furniture Project. The initiative will bring together 24 international buyers and more than 60 Brazilian companies across the furniture, components, supplies and machinery segments, supporting new business opportunities, closer ties with strategic markets and the continued internationalization of the industry’s value chain.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate the Brazilian furniture industry’s ability to combine design, manufacturing expertise and tangible business opportunities at one of the sector’s most important trade gatherings.

Brazilian Furniture Project
The Brazilian Furniture Sector Project is an initiative led by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil. Its goal is to expand the international presence of Brazil’s furniture industry and broader value chain through a portfolio of strategic initiatives built around sustainability, competitiveness and the integration of design into manufacturing. Hundreds of companies currently participate in the project.
In its current cycle, the organizing institutions are inviting component manufacturers and industry suppliers—in addition to furniture manufacturers and designers—to join Brazilian Furniture, further expanding the international reach of the sector and strengthening the competitiveness of the Brazil brand worldwide.
In 2025, Brazil ranked as the world’s seventh-largest producer of furniture and mattresses. The country exported more than US$769.03 million in finished products, excluding parts and components, representing a 0.8% increase over 2024.
