Buyer Project at Yes Móvel Show to bring together 54 Brazilian companies and more than 20 international buyers in São Paulo

Brazilian Furniture initiative strengthens the presence of Brazilian furniture in strategic markets across Latin America, Central America, and Europe

ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association), in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), will hold another edition of the Buyer Project at Yes Móvel Show São Paulo, bringing together 54 Brazilian companies and more than 20 international buyers for business matchmaking rounds in São Paulo. The initiative is part of the trade fair’s program, which takes place from March 16 to 19, 2026, at Distrito Anhembi.

Yes Móvel Show São Paulo is now in its fifth edition, with the goal of expanding the sector’s business environment by connecting buying and selling channels in a format that combines product exhibitions with a commercial agenda. For 2026, organizers expect more than 250 exhibitors and an audience of around 25,000 domestic and international visitors across a 40,000-square-meter exhibition area.

In this setting, the Buyer Project serves as a bridge between Brazilian supply and international demand: buyers from strategic markets take part in pre-arranged meetings with Brazilian companies, with the goal of generating business opportunities and advancing negotiations throughout the year.

To support this effort, the mix of invited markets reflects a trade strategy built on diversification, regional proximity, and the opening of new international fronts. In South America, the presence of importers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Uruguay strengthens Brazil’s position in destinations with greater logistical, commercial, and cultural affinity. Costa Rica and Panama expand the project’s reach into Central America, a relevant region as a platform for connections and distribution. Spain, in turn, brings an important link to the European market, helping broaden the visibility and positioning of Brazilian furniture beyond the continent. Together, these 11 countries help consolidate a more far-reaching internationalization strategy aligned with the current expansion of Brazil’s furniture industry.

At last year’s edition, the Buyer Project at Yes Móvel Show São Paulo held 602 matchmaking rounds, generating US$52 million in closed and prospective business.

Brazilian Furniture Project

The Brazilian Furniture Project is a joint initiative led by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Industry Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) to expand the international presence of the Brazilian furniture industry through strategic actions focused on sustainability, competitiveness, innovation, and global positioning. Hundreds of companies participate in the project.

In the current cycle, the organizing entities are inviting not only furniture manufacturers and designers but also companies from the components and supplier segments to join Brazilian Furniture. The goal is to further extend the global reach of Brazilian furniture and strengthen the competitiveness of the “Brazil” brand worldwide.

In 2025, Brazil ranked as the world’s seventh-largest producer of furniture and mattresses, exporting more than US$769.03 million in finished products (excluding parts and components), representing a 0.8% increase compared to 2024.
