One Week to the Expo Mueble 2024 Trade Mission: The Brazilian Furniture Project Takes 35 Brazilian Companies to Mexico

The Brazilian Furniture Project and 35 of its associated companies are all set to head to Mexico: the next edition of the Expo Mueble Internacional is starting next week, running from February 14 to 17, 2024, in the city of Guadalajara. The event, considered to be one of the main furniture and design fairs in Latin America, is a strategic display for the Brazilian industry, the largest furniture producer in the region, aiming to expand its commercial connections throughout the whole American continent.

Organized by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the Brazilian Furniture Project promotes a Trade Mission that includes both the exhibition in exclusive booths at the fair and the participation in business rounds with international buyers from target markets. Among the participating companies, 11 brands will be exhibiting their products at Expo Mueble, while all 35 will take part in the business roundtables.

“Expo Mueble is an important platform in the sector, attracting buyers from various regions of the world, especially from North and Central America. The event offers a relevant opportunity for Brazilian companies to present new products, discover trends in design, lighting, and accessories, as well as create new business possibilities and commercial alliances, not only expanding horizons but also reinforcing the position of the Brazilian furniture industry as one of the leaders in innovation and quality in the Latin American and the global scene,” emphasizes ABIMÓVEL’s Executive Director and manager of the Brazilian Furniture Project, Cândida Cervieri.

“The Brazilian companies participating in the Expo Mueble 2024 Trade Mission represent the best in the national furniture industry, taking to Mexico their latest innovations in design integrated into the industry, sustainable production, and technology. They are ready, thus, to catch the attention and meet the demands of international buyers,” says the Manager of the Brazilian Furniture Project at ApexBrasil, Clarissa Franco.

Recalling the Results of the Expo Mueble 2023 Trade Mission

The results of the Brazilian participation in last year’s Expo Mueble underline the importance of the event for the national industry. With business expectations of over US$ 35 million and the achievement of more than 735 commercial contacts, mostly with new leads, the 2023 edition had already established a precedent for success. “These actions reflect not only the growth potential of Brazilian furniture exports to Mexico, estimated at +26.9% in the coming years, but also reinforce Brazil’s position as a constantly developing powerhouse in the global furniture market,” reinforces Cândida, ABIMÓVEL’s Executive Director.

The participation of the Brazilian Furniture in Expo Mueble 2024, therefore, not only promises to reinforce existing commercial ties but also to open new paths for the internationalization of the Brazilian industry, further solidifying its relevance in the vibrant Latin American and global furniture market.
