iSaloni 2024 opens its doors!

Today, April 16, 2024, marks the beginning of the 62nd edition of the world’s largest furniture fair, the Salone del Mobile.Milano, in Italy, which runs until next Sunday (21). From the iSaloni halls to the diverse FuoriSalone circuit, the Brazilian Furniture Project prepares a series of activities to highlight the innovation, sustainability, and creativity of the Brazilian furniture design and industry.


With support from ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the institutions responsible for the Brazilian Furniture Project, eight companies are showcasing their collections in exclusive booths at the fair, with the scenography signed by Estojo, among pavilions 03, 10, and 18.

The special exhibition “Design + Industry” takes place in pavilion 03 (D21/D23) with 22 brands presenting 41 new pieces developed in collaboration with more than 40 national designers through the program, curated by Liana Tessler and set design also conceived by Estojo.

The Brazil Lounge, also in hall 03, will be the meeting point, furnished with pieces provided by Uultis and Akra Collection to welcome, interact, and integrate during the event.

“The concept of the booths focuses on the authentic representation of our Brazilianness, encompassing local raw materials, creativity, and a special focus on sustainability, all from a contemporary perspective. The intention is simple: to highlight Brazilian design and furniture in a way that respects and promotes the values of innovation and environmental responsibility,” explains Cândida Cervieri, Executive Director of ABIMÓVEL and manager of Brazilian Furniture.

Brazilian Furniture @FuoriSalone 2024 

In addition to iSaloni, the Brazilian Furniture Project also marks its presence in the FuoriSalone circuit, supporting and participating in exclusive actions that take place in Milan and its surroundings.

A highlight is the “Coccoloba – Brazilian Exhibition”, an exhibition that brings together the work of 53 Brazilian companies and designers, once again reflecting on innovation, sustainability, and resilience through the metaphor of Coccoloba gigantifolia, a species of tree from the Brazilian Amazon known for its giant leaves.

Ornare also takes advantage of the Milan Design Week 2024 occasion to inaugurate its first flagship store in Europe, located in the historic Palazzo Gallarati in the heart of the “Quadrilatero della Moda”, marking another significant milestone in the internationalization of Brazilian furniture with support from the Brazilian Furniture Project.

Simultaneously, ETEL presents the exhibition “Reset Modernity, Reinstituting Nature”, a celebration of the encounter between tradition and innovation through craftsmanship and natural materials, with pieces by renowned designers and a tribute to Percival Lafer, an iconic Brazilian architect and designer, also with support from ABIMÓVEL and ApexBrasil through the Brazilian Furniture Project.

Image Project and Guided Tours

In addition to welcoming buyers from around 200 countries, who pass through both iSaloni and FuoriSalone daily, the Brazilian Furniture team also organizes special activities to receive the press and opinion leaders from various parts of the world.

Through the Image Project, for example, 18 journalists from Italy, the United States, Turkey, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, and other strategic countries for the Brazilian national industry will participate in special visits guided by ABIMÓVEL and ApexBrasil at both the fair and the design districts of Milan.
