ICFF starts today in New York: the Brazilian brand and design will be there with the support of Brazilian Furniture

Dozens of Brazilian brands and designers will be exhibiting at the fair, which is one of the largest in the furniture calendar in the world, in activities organized by ABIMÓVEL and ApexBrasil

The famous Javits Center, in New York (USA), opens its doors once again for companies and designers of the furniture sector to showcase their novelties in products for residential, office, and hospitality spaces at the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair), which will take place between May 21 and 23, 2023. One of the main events of the NY Design Week, the fair brings together hundreds of well-known brands and emerging talents from various parts of the world, including Brazil.

After the Trade Mission held this week by ABIMÓVEL (The Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) and ApexBrasil (The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) at the Brazilian Consulate in New York, the Brazilian Furniture Project continues its programming there: 14 Brazilian companies will be exhibiting their collections and solutions for living at the ICFF, in spaces designed to highlight the originality of design with sustainability, technology, and quality of the Brazilian industry, the sixth largest furniture producer in the world.

“We are once again very excited to participate in the fair,” says Irineu Munhoz, president of ABIMÓVEL. “The U.S. market is a great partner of the Brazilian furniture industry, with the country representing about 34% of our exports last year. Being present at ICFF allows us to highlight the quality and design of Brazilian furniture, as well as strengthen our commercial partnerships and attract new business.”

Jorge Viana, president of ApexBrasil, also highlights the importance of Brazilian participation: “ApexBrasil is committed to promoting Brazilian exports and positioning the country as a supplier of excellence in the global market. The presence of Brazilian companies in New York reinforces the reputation of the Brazilian furniture industry and design, highlighting our capacity for innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness.
