estudiobola presents the best of industry-integrated design at the supersalone

Authorial design, formal simplicity and elegance at all costs. This is the backbone of the work of two architects from Sao Paulo, who have been conquering Brazil, Italy and the world. Flavio Borsato and Mauricio Lamosa studied together and together they also founded estudiobola two decades ago, a brand that stands out for combining conceptual design with the commercial challenges of the national and international furniture market. Exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile.Milano for the second time, in this year’s special edition, the duo brings the best of industry-integrated design to Milan, with pieces created in partnership with Rizzon Móveis.

Having a vast portfolio of more than 700 pieces — including sofas, beds and chairs, as well as decorative items such as lamps, ceramics and rugs —, the highlight of estudiobola for the supersalone are the seats. The big launch is the Gilda armchair, which grabs attention for its fluid and organic design, in addition to its contemporary look, which at the same time respects classic shapes. The result of working on wood with intensive use of CNC, on the other hand, points to the future, making it a wild and timeless piece.

“iSaloni is the industry’s greatest global exhibition, the greatest moment of celebration of design. It is an immense satisfaction to be able to participate in this ‘great party’, especially at this time when the world is trying to find its new balance”, says the pair of architects. “The prospects are the best possible, taking into account that companies, industry professionals and consumers were forced to reinvent themselves. We are sure that there will be a lot of new ideas for everybody to find out.”

The founders of estudiobola also emphasize the importance of initiatives such as the oneas led by ABIMÓVEL and Apex-Brasil, citing the Brazilian Furniture Sectorial Project, for the development and maturation of the national furniture sector. “Professionalism, focus and commitment are the correct formula for success.”

In addition to new products, estudiobola is preparing to open a showroom and a distribution center in Borsato, Italy, in 2022. The goal is to serve the European market in an even more agile and efficient way, such as they do in Brazil. Operating in partnership with several factories, the brand has consolidated a consistent distribution network in the national market, consisting of a flag shop in São Paulo (SP), two franchises and around 20 stores in store, ensuring the presence of the brand in the main places in the country for  furniture and decoration.
